The Business World and Law Association ("İDHD") respects the data subjects and the personal data processed for its activities. We attend to the safety of personal data pursuant to applicable legislation and universal values.
Accordingly, we are diligent about the safety and privacy of the personal data of our applicants, members, and the member representatives.
Pursuant to Law on the Protection of Personal Data no. 6698 ("KVKK"), İDHD acts as a "controller" and processes personal data as per KVKK and its sub-legislation.
The personal data processed by İDHD refers to any personal data, including the real person members' and applicants' name-surname, T.R. identity number, date of birth, occupation, educational background, contact addresses, address of residence, address of workplace, company name, company role, headshot, copy of identity card, membership date and membership termination date, passport copy, residence permit documents, and identity details provided to foreigners, needed by İDHD to identify real person members and applicants, to complete the membership processes, to keep records on members, to contact members, etc. for İDHD to achieve its primary purposes. For legal entity members and applicants, personal data refers to their representatives' date of birth, residence address, educational background and occupation details collected by İDHD to complete the membership processes, to keep records on members, and to contact members for İDHD to achieve its primary purposes.
İDHD processes personal data pursuant to the personal data processing principles stipulated in article 4 in KVKK based on one or several of personal data processing conditions specified in articles 5 and 6 in KVKK.
İDHD processes personal data to fulfill its legal liabilities, including the ones arising from Turkish Civil Law no. 4721, Law on Associations no. 5253, Regulation on Associations, and the relevant legislation, to use in all kinds of processes and procedures for the primary purposes of İDHD, to announce the events of the association, to make news and surveys, to convey the agenda and notices of meetings, to pay the İDHD membership fees, to receive membership applications, to evaluate membership applications, to complete membership applications, and to register the relevant data in the members' records.
We may also process your personal data for protecting and controlling the rights and liabilities of members, specified in İDHD Constitution and Bylaws, and anonymize and use them for internal reporting and statistics. Data processed by İDHD may be updated and processed throughout the membership.
In line with the personal data processing purposes specified above, İDHD may transfer personal data to persons or organizations permitted as per Turkish Civil Law no. 4721, Law of Associations no. 5253, Regulation on Associations, and the relevant legislation, and to entities with which İDHD collaborates for its primary purposes, including but not limited to universities, schools, NGOs, public institutions and organizations, private real persons and legal entities, along with other organizations, domestic and foreign institutions and organizations, and banks from which İDHD receives services for its operations and with which it collaborates, and to certified public accountants to open, monitor and reach an agreement about checking accounts pursuant to personal data processing terms and purposes specified in articles 8 and 9 in KVKK.
In addition, if you permit, photos taken in events organized by İDHD shall be marked with the İDHD logo to be used in the promotion activities in printed and digital media.
In line with the purposes specified above, İDHD collects personal data when you make an online membership application by filling out a membership application form, download the membership application form via the web page of İDHD and send it to [email protected] or to the postal address of İDHD, and appear in the photos of events organized by İDHD, and in other similar ways.
İDHD prioritizes maintaining the privacy and security of all the personal data processed. Accordingly, İDHD ensures maximum protection against the risks of unauthorized access to personal data, and losses or disclosure thereof and takes all the necessary technical and administrative security measures.
Pursuant to KVKK, our İDHD applicants, members and member representatives, who act as the data subjects, have the following rights as per KVKK and other legislation in force: to learn whether their personal data is processed or not; to request information if their personal data is processed; to learn the purpose of their data processing and whether this data is used for intended purposes; to know the third parties to whom their personal data is transferred at home or abroad; to request the rectification of the incomplete or inaccurate data, if any; to request the erasure or destruction of their personal data under the conditions laid down in KVKK; to request notification of the operations conducted in compliance with articles 5 and 6 of KVKK to third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred; to object to the result of processing, exclusively by automatic means, of their personal data, if it leads to an unfavorable consequence for the data subject; to request compensation for the damage arising from the unlawful processing of their personal data.
